Author Biography: Thomas Hoadley apprenticed with Vermont potter Malcolm Wright, who brought Japanese Karatsu-style wood-fired pottery techniques to the United States. Thomas later established a pottery studio in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. He holds a Special Judge's Award from the 2011 International Ceramics Festival in Japan and his work was featured at the White House, and is included in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
